I understand that 18,000 people making demands on a system is extreme, but conference planners and facilities personnel ought to know about this way up front. Or perhaps is there a more insidious threat at work? Are the mischievous forces behind NCLB conspiring with paper manufacturers to sabotage the electron inconveniencers? Since they cannot seem to stem the tide elsewise, perhaps the nefarious nabobs of traditionalism will drive us crazy by service interruption. . . .
